Are they really paintings?

Yes! Master Arts does not sell prints, not canvas transfers, not lithographs and not giclee prints. We do not print a watermark on the canvas and then paint over it like many other affordable retailers may offer. Master Arts only ever supplies 100% hand painted oil painting reproductions. They are painted entirely and exclusively by hand.

Are these reproduction masterpieces legal?

Yes! The only limitation is that the artwork must have passed into the public domain. This means that the artist must have passed away at least 50 years ago, and in some cases, 70 years ago. Where it is uncertain whether or not the artwork is in the public domain, it is the responsibility of the customer to confirm this information prior to order. Please read our Terms for more information about this. Many reproduction retailers may offer reproduction artwork that is more recent than this by purchasing copyright licensing. Master Arts has decided not to go in this direction as it adds significant expense which then effects pricing for all paintings. There are hundreds of years, quite apart from the last 70 years, in which exquisite art has been produced – let’s enjoy it!

I can’t find the painting I am looking for!

Although we only have a small online gallery, our offline gallery contains over 10,000 works of art, and even more can be sourced for you. Please contact us with your special request. We love sourcing hard to find paintings for you - just ask and we'll do our best!

How much is the shipping cost?

FREE! There are no hidden costs whatsoever. The price of the painting is the total amount payable. Master Arts ships paintings worldwide at no additional charge.

Can you stretch my painting

Yes! We certainly can. We now offer a stretching service, so that you can order your painting, have it stretched, and then hang it on your wall the second you receive it!

Do you frame paintings?

No, we do not offer a framing service. The main reason is that framing is a very personal matter, and needs to be coordinated to both the painting and your home. You can be assured that the best frame for your painting and your home can be selected at your local custom framing shop.

Can you paint my portrait?

Yes! We can paint anything, as long as you can provide us with a photograph (digital or paper). We are able to paint portraits of people, buildings, pets and even cars! For more information, or to purchase a portrait, please contact us.

What else can you paint?

Just about anything! If you have a photo of a beautiful sunset, or a close-up of a flower that you would like reproduced, no problem. Apart from photos, we can also reproduce custom digital designs into hand painted masterpieces. All we need is a high resolution image to work from. The options are unlimited!
